DELTARUNE - 06/28/2026
WARNING: THIS BLOG POST IS FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE PLAYED DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 ONLY. IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET, GO DO IT!!!
My beloved Deltarune has finally come out with a new chapter, and I have spent the last four nights playing it. June 24th felt more exciting than Christmas morning to me. I don't think I'd been this excited for something since The LEGO Movie was coming out when I was 10 years old. And my excitement was justified because I think overall, chapter 5 is my new favorite chapter.
I was honestly so confused when I started playing it. I was heartbroken that my favorite Undertale character, Papyrus didn't make any appearance. I was convinced that Sans would get us to take him to the festival, and we'd finally get to hang out with him, but sadly that wasn't the case. I had no idea what was going on when Flowery made his first appearance. Like everything about him, his anime intro, his design, his voice lines, the fact that his name is just Flowey with an extra R, is just so insane. I genuinley thought I was dreaming or something. But as the chapter progressed it very quickly became my favorite.
All the new characters are so amazing. Flowery is definitley my new favorite main antagonist of the series. And I love how all the other flowers were supposed to be like how the souls in Undertale were. Aqua is probably my new favorite character. She's such a little terrorist. And her and Seth are just such an iconic and loveable duo. The soundtrack is amazing too, and the artwork is so beautiful. AND THE PLATFORMER ASPECT OF IT WAS SO AWESOME TOO. Everything about it I just love so much. I actually cried at the part where you're about to seal the fountain, and you have to say goodbye to everybody. Because Flowery is totally right. We could destroy the Castle Town dark world and just leave theirs be. It's our choice to destroy their fantasy so we can keep our own alive. And then The Knight killed Flowery right after that and that made me cry even more. Like are you trying to drown me in my own tears, Toby Fox?
Also, I don't think anything could've prepared me for what happens in the Snowgrave route. If you haven't played it, stop reading this and play it, because it's something you need to experience yourself. I'm still shook. I genuinley felt like the protagonist of a gaming Creepypasta while I was playing it. AND WE'RE NOT EVEN GONNA SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT UNTIL CHAPTER 7!!! LIKE WTF I DON'T WANNA WAIT THAT LONG!!!
